FbT Post #4: Practical Tips to Make Your Move

This post is less vignette, more “tons of practical info”!

When I was preparing to come to the UK, IREX and the US-UK Commission provided travel guides from previous Fulbrighters. I pored over them, gleaning useful info to help me prepare! Still, some of the info was from many years ago or from grantees’ experiences with other universities or cities. I still had to do a lot of legwork on tricky & sticky tasks, like getting DBS clearance, for example. If you are relocating to the UK for research or business, or if you are a Fulbright D.A. grantee, maybe I can ease your way a bit.
