# Research, Teaching, and Storytelling

As a recipient of the [Fulbright Distinguished Award in Teaching Research](https://www.fulbrightteacherexchanges.org/programs/da) (2026 cycle, US-UK, University College London), I am currently conducting research centered around innovative EAL & multilingual practices employed in the UK and will use my findings to develop educational tools. Back home in the States, I teach second grade near Cincinnati, Ohio. Prior to entering the field of education, I acted as a project engineer. I encourage everyone to pursue your interests and continue educating yourself, even at "non-traditional" ages!

Now that my own children have grown, I am able to focus on two other great personal interests: storytelling and travel! Check back here, as I’ll frequently share snippets from experiences on the road.
